This Privacy Notice describes how Committee for Children (“CFC,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, and discloses information about you. This Privacy Notice applies to information we collect when you access or use our websites, social media pages, web-based application, or other digital medium owned or operated by CFC, including online products and services that link to this Privacy Notice, such as SecondStep.org (collectively, our “Site”), or when you otherwise interact with us, such as through our customer support channels, social media pages, or attend a webinar co-hosted by CFC. This Privacy Notice does not apply to the Second Step® K-12 digital curriculum platform, including Mind Yeti® sessions, and the related online services, content, and functionality CFC makes available to licensed education customers and their authorized users (the “Services”). CFC’s processing of personal information in connection with the Services is governed by the applicable license agreement or other written agreement between CFC and the education customer, including its data processing terms.
If you interact with our Second Step® digital curriculum learning platform as an authorized user of a licensed education customer (e.g., a district or school), CFC is a service provider to that education customer and our processing of your personal information is subject to the applicable license agreement or other written agreement between CFC and that education customer, including its data processing terms, rather than this Privacy Notice. If you have questions about how we collect, use, and share your personal information when you are logged in to the Site through an account associated with an education customer, please contact the education customer directly for more information.
We may change this Privacy Notice from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the date at the top of this notice. We may also provide you with additional notice (for example by adding a statement to the Site or sending you a notification), such as in connection with making material changes to this Privacy Notice. We encourage you to review this Privacy Notice regularly to stay informed about our information practices and the choices available to you.
Please be aware that CFC-owned websites may contain links to content hosted on third party sites which may have their own privacy policies. After following a link to any third-party website, you should refer to any posted privacy notice information to determine how your personal information may be collected and used. This Privacy Notice does not apply to any of your activities after you leave our Site or access third-party content imbedded in our Site.
